Venue: The Linder Auditorium, 27 St. Andrews Road, Parktown Johannesburg
Performance date: Friday, 27 November at 20:00
The annual Christmas Concert presented by Gauteng Opera has become a tradition in Johannesburg and Pretoria. This year Gauteng Opera will present only one concert on 27 November and will once again bring the Christmas spirit to Gauteng audiences. The concert will highlight the beautiful solo voices of Gauteng Opera and a special Choral Ensemble, accompanied by the well-known accompanist, Paul Ferreira.
This special concert for the whole family will awaken the Christmas spirit of peace and harmony in all. As in past year’s tradition, Gauteng Opera will once again donate all collected presents to a children’s’ home and as we performed for the first time at the Soweto Theatre this year with the three South African operas, we decided to donate all the presents to the Orlando Children’s Home in Soweto.
To this end, Gauteng Opera kindly requests all patrons attending the Christmas Concert to bring along an unwrapped gift for children from the age of new-born to 18, between the value of R100.00 and R200.00.
Come and experience the stirring melodies of the Festive Season!
