Gauteng Opera presents
A CHRISTMAS CONCERT
The annual Christmas Concert presented by Gauteng Opera has become a tradition in Gauteng and this year these concerts will take place at the beautiful St. Martin’s-in-the-Veld church in Rosebank and in Gauteng Opera’s own Tin Town Theatre situated in the historical part of Johannesburg – Ferreirasdorp. Once again, Gauteng Opera will ring in the Festive Season with the beautiful and well-known Christmas melodies audiences came to love over the years. This year the concerts will be accompanied by Susan Steenkamp-Swanepoel on the organ and Andrew Duncan on piano, celebrating the Spirit of the Festive Season.
These special concerts for the whole family will include favourites such as Joy to the World, O come all ye faithful, For the beauty of the earth, The first Noël, Silent Night, O Holy Night and more unknown, but beautiful melodies such as Susani, Gesu bambino and Mary, did you know, to name a few. All the artists of Gauteng Opera will take part in the concert.
As in past years’ tradition, Gauteng Opera will once again donate all collected presents to a deserving Children’s home, so we implore our patrons to bring an unwrapped gift for children from the age of new-born to 18, between the value of R100 to R150.
Come and experience the stirring melodies of the Festive Season with Gauteng Opera!
