What better way to chill out on Heritage Day, than in the tranquil urban space of IT Corner in Melville while listening to the ambient light classical sounds of Gauteng Opera. During interval, you can enjoy a tasty brunch with family and friends. The soloists of Gauteng Opera will entertain you with lovely music, fitting for this special setting in Melville. Songs during this morning’s concert will include hits such as Granada, Because we believe, Adagio, Aranjuez mon amour, Marechiare, Torna a Surriento and O sole mio, to name a few. We will also entertain you with operatic greats such as I got plenty of Nothin’ from Porgy and Bess and Glitter and be gay from Candide.

Performing on 24 September will be the talented Gauteng Opera soloists, Litho Nqai (soprano), Zita Pretorius (soprano), Khayakazi Madlala (soprano), Phenye Modiane (tenor), Kagiso Boroko (tenor), Lindo Maso (tenor), Kanyiso Kula (tenor), Chuma Sijeqa (baritone), Solly Motaung (baritone) and Tshepo Masuku (bass). They will be accompanied on piano by Andrew Duncan.
